Learning outcomes

The main purpose of the seminars is to provide students with a knowledge of the method of drafting and editing a scientific text. The attention focuses on the methodology of research, to recognize and understand the principles that underlie such a complex activity. The seminars also aim to deliver to the students the main guidelines in order to research and to individuate the most authoritative legal sources.

Course contents

In the interactive seminar, a method of drafting and editing a scientific text will be provided. The seminar aims at:

  • Delivering to the students the main guidelines for the writing process, structure and style of a scientific paper

- Training students to gradually develop a systematic knowledge of the legal sources and provide them with a knowledge about how to use them in editing a scientific text

- Enabling students to efficiently develop a research question, as well as organizing the structure of a systematic scientific legal paper or final thesis.

 

The seminar will be covering problems from the following fields:

  • Research process and methods
  • Scientific writing and citing techniques
  • Discussion of research paper

Students are encouraged to engage in discussions as well as class excercise in order to deepen the course content and to transfer the acquired theories and methods. It will possible to submit a draft – or part of your manuscript, in any stage - for discussion and feedback.
