Learning outcomes

The course must lead the student to know the basic grammatical and lexical structures of the Chinese language and possess an elementary linguistic competence both oral and written that enables him to interact in a limited number of everyday communication situations.

Course contents

The course is intended as an approach to the Chinese language and culture, with a panoramic and stimulating approach that allows students to be able, in a short time, to formulate simple dialogues on everyday situations, with basic communication functions. The ability to read and understand simple texts will also be developed.


Specifically, the student will learn to:

- greet, introduce themselves, indicate the origin and nationality, talk about their family, their hobbies and interests, express wishes and intentions.

- ask for time, and bargain

- ask for directions

- talk about their body and simple health conditions

From a grammatical point of view, the affirmative, interrogative and negative sentences will be presented, the verb to be and to have, the verbs of existence, personal, possessive, interrogative and demonstrative pronouns, adverbs of frequency, constructions with series verbs, classifiers.
