Learning outcomes
The student shows a deep knowledge of the oral and written aspects of Russian language, in synchronic and diacronic perspectives, also applied to text analysis and translation. Thanks to linguistic training the student will develop a communicative competence in all active and passive skills, gaining the level C1 of the European language Framework, which allows him/her to understand the different sociolinguistic and cultural codes involved in communication
Course contents
The course is divided in two parallel parts. The first part of the semester will be online (up to the end of October) and all the teaching materials will be at the students disposal on the platform Virtuale.
The first part (30 hours) will deal with linguistic and argumentative analysis of printed materials, including particularly complex structures (complex sentence syntax, participles and gerunds, pronouns, numerals, verbal prefixes). The aim of this course will be the development of analytical skills through listening and writing (text analysis). The student will listen to some audio materials, present in the online depository IOL.
The second part of the course (30 hours) will focus on analysis and translation into italian of literary texts. Some of the analysed text will be translated, using bilingual and monolingual dictionaries in the proper way. Some significant translation cases will be discussed. All bibliography will be indicated in the platform IOL.
To the theoretical course is combined a practical linguistic training (36 hours), which allows the student to achieve good oral and written skills, referring to the analyzed subjects. The practical course will deal also with phraseology and lexical units, typical of analyzed textual typologies.
The exam will be in the Russian language.
Practical lessons (lettorato) are compulsory.
Задачи практического курса: активизировать языковые и речевые навыки учащихся; углубить знакомство с лексико-стилистическими особенностями различных стилистических жанров русского языка; закрепить знания по русской грамматике, продолжить формирование коммуникативной и страноведческой компетенции на материале социально значимых тем; подготовить студентов к пониманию неадаптированных текстов публицистического и разговорного жанра (язык прессы, телепередач, документальных и художественных фильмов), а также к самостоятельному анализу и воспроизведению письменных текстов и устных высказываний с выражением собственной оценки на актуальную тематику.

В качестве учебного материала будут использоваться материалы, подготовленные преподавателем (dispensa), а также эпизоды из кинофильмов и видеосюжеты, взятые из электронных СМИ.
Teaching methods
Online or frontal lesson will be in Russian language and possibly interactive (analytical and communicative method). Students should read in advance assigned materials and read and translate them in the classroom.
Assessment methods
The exam will be written and oral. Dipending on the pandemic situation, exam modality could change. The written exam will deal with analysis and/or translation of one text about the subjects dealt within the course. The written exam will evaluate the analytical, stylistic and morpho-syntactic competence of the student. Getting through the written exam will give access to the oral exam, included the linguistic assessment. The final mark will be obtained with the average marks of the two exams.
Oral exam will consist in the discussion of a written text, analyzed by the student in Russian language. Linguistic assessment test will include some works chosen in concordance with the student's course of study and presented by the student during the course.
Practical course:
В рамках курса студенты должны будут написать самостоятельную письменную работу (эссе с выражением собственной точки зрения) на одну из рассмотренных проблем, которая будет обсуждаться с преподавателем во время устного экзамена.
Форма итогового контроля: устный экзамен (дискуссия с преподавателем на выбранную тему в соответствии с сертификационными требованиями).
