Learning outcomes

By the end of the internship students will be independent in using the specific tools acquired during the external learning activity, applying the right methodology for different professional contexts. They will be organized in their work whether individually or in a group, will have learnt self-criticism and be able to learn from other people. They will also have achieved methodological rigour and meticulousness.

Course contents

You can submit your internship form starting from the third year, after choosing the activity on the study plan.

Put in the database of the internships, when you submit your internship form, one of the following Tutors: Professor Maria Pia Casalena or Francesca Pucci Donati.

The companies or the affiliated institutions publish their offers in the online Intership Service. You can consult on SOL-internship [https://studenti.unibo.it/sol/welcome.htm] :

  • the offers and then apply.

or

  • the list of the affiliated companies you are interested in, that you could contact in order to verify the availability to welcome you as an intern. In case of availability, you will present a self-nomination.

In both cases, when the company accepts your request, connect to SOL-internship [https://studenti.unibo.it/sol/welcome.htm] and:

1. follow the guided procedure that you will receive to your institutional email address;

2. dowload from SOL-internship [https://studenti.unibo.it/sol/welcome.htm] the attendance register where you will find the authorized period about when carry out the traineeship.

Teaching methods

You will need to complete the attendance register showing the hours that must be part of the authorized period. If there were any changes (for example, suspension, cancellation) concerning the agreed schedule, you have to inform the internship office and send a copy to the academic tutor and the company representative. 

In case of any transfers, they should be previously reported by the tutor of the host company to the internship office and to the academic tutor, who has to authorise them.

What to do at the end of the internship:

After completing the scheduled hours for the internship on SOL-Internship [https://tirocini-studenti.unibo.it/tirocini/studenti/loginStudenti.htm] you should:

  • write the date of the end of your internship;
  • attach the attendance register, with the first two pages compiled and signed by the company representative;
  • attach your report of nearly one page concerning the acquired skills, the methodologies used, the internship's usefulness for the purposes of your career;
  • fill in the mandatory questionnaire.

The host institution will receive the notification to fill out the evaluation questionnaire.

The internship will be registered on line by the professor designed as tutor.
