Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the student will achieve good knowledge of 2) the artistic side of medicine and of the treatment of patients 3) the relevance of medicine as anthropological science and its relationship with ethics, human and behavioural relations, scientific method and the: Students will be able to apply the learned methods to the analysis of the various issues regarding the treatment of patients. The use of images from arts will support and promote new attitudes and methodological approaches useful for the students’ future personal and professional experience, either as clinicians or researchers.

Course contents

During the course it will be emphasized the experiences of the professionists either in the medical evironment or out of it, so that to be able to understand those dimensions of work which may eavily affect the medical profession, like:

dedication, motivation, handcraft ability, quality research, method, gratuity...

Making judgement: to identify the reasons leading to the crisis of the nowadays health systems and the roots of the most remarcable problems.
