Learning outcomes

Internships vary depending on the academic year. However, it aims at offering the student professional skills and competences on various areas of the Master programme.

Course contents

The curricular internship is a training and learning activity that, if selected in the second year of the course in alternative to laboratories, allows students to get the related teaching credits. It should be a first step in order to acquire transversal skills and a first contact with the labour market and a workplace.

The curricular internship must be carried out as part of the course. In order to carry it out, students must be regularly enrolled in the second year of the Master programme, and must have listed it in their course plan.

Internship activities must be in any case consistent with the learning objective of the Master programme.

Internship can be developed in one of the business, company or institution affiliated with the University of Bologna. The list is available in the on line data base.

Teaching methods

Following the planned procedure, students who intend to carry out in their second year a curricular internship can insert it in their study plan and then identify a business/institution/organization that would suit them, be it and internal structure (libraries, Departments) or and external one.

Please consult the University data base and the planned procedure, both available on the university website (section "Internships).

Assessment methods

At the end of the internship there is an on line procedure to follow:on the application a questionnaire has to be filled and the signed countersigned by the host institution/company's tutor, and sealed attendance record must be uploaded. It will then be validated by the Internship office and by the academic tutor, that will then automatically register it on almaesami.
