Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student has the knowledge and ability to understand the patterns of abnormal movements, the neurological, motor, and sensory functional balance in the main developmental disorders.
Course contents
Motor development: the development of global motor skills, changes in posture, spontaneous motility pre-locomotive patterns and locomotory patterns. The evolution catching and manipulation, mirror neurons. The evolution of visual functions; motor development and cognitive development. Motor development and environmental interactions. Cerebral paralysis: defining cerebral childhood paralysis (PCI) according to various authors (Milani Comparetti, Bobath, Bottos, Ferrari), early diagnosis and prediction. Obstetrician paralysis: clinical diagnosis, examination and treatment. Neuromuscular disease: clinical diagnosis. Physical examination and treatment.Bifid spine: clinical diagnosis. Physical examination and treatment. infant at risk And preterm infant: Assessment of premature and newborn at risk. Neurological examination; the care of preterm infants in intensive care; respiratory problems.
