Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the student has the knowledge of the basic elements for the proper and proper use of the data; Acquires the tools for a critical reading of medical literature, and the ability to interact with SSN for epidemiological assessments or quality audits.

Course contents


Descriptive statistics: group data, frequency distributions, central trend measures, dispersion measures.
Probability Distributions: binomial distribution and continuous distribution, normal distribution and student t distribution, inferential statistics: estimation and hypothesis verification. Trust 95% confidence. Epidemiological studies and clinical trials, epidemiological indicators: prevalence, incidence, relative risk and odds ratio.
