Teaching methods
Lectures with PowerPoint support, critical reading of selected articles of main newspapers and specialized magazines. Depending on number of students attending lessons should be defined some area of interest in order to deepen specific arguments.
Assessment methods
The determination of the final vote will be based on a written test
consisting of two open-ended questions, each answer should
be developed in maximum 2 pages. For foreign and Erasmus
students the exam could be oral: please write to prof. Caporale if
interested inn this option.
The failure achieved in one of two responses determines the failure
of the written test and then the lack of access to oral.
In case of a positive result of the written test, and only to the
date set for oral exam, the student may apply to take an oral exam:
the results of this test contributes to all effects to the final
evaluation.
The integration of the written test may be requested by the
professor, in this case the oral exam is MANDATORY: if the student
does not substain it, the result of the written test would be
invalidated and the examination is intended to
be FAILED.
The result of the written test (and the eventual call for oral
mandatory) will be communicated to the students in the days before
the oral exam, but the commettee reserves the right to disclose the
results of the written test up to the day of the oral, in relation
to the number of tasks to be corrected and the time required to
perform the correction.
Depending from the number of students that will attend the lessons should be defined different way for final exam.
The candidate is required to record the vote (resulting from the
written test or integrated with the oral examination) within the
date of the following exam.
IN PARTICULAR, IN CONNECTION WITH THE RECORDING OF THE VOTES:
Procedure 1
The final grade can be verbalized at the oral exam sessions,
so that students can countersign the verbalization in ALMAESAMI.
Verbalizations are NOT allowed during the reception or at the
request of the student for dates not in coincidence with the
officials ones.
Procedure 2
Verbalization may be required in the absence of the student, but
the student must send an e-mail from his/her institutional address
(tizio.rossi @ studio.unibo.it) to the professor within 3 days
after the date of the oral exam ( that is the esam in which it has
been passed the exam or other subsequent) publicized on the website
of the course.
The request sent by mail must contain:
- Name and surname,
- Student's serial number,
- Name of the course (Iex: Information law...) for which the
student asks the verbalization;
- Vote intended to be accepted and date of the exam in which the
student take the exam,
- The authorization for the teacher to carry out the verbalization
his absence of the student.
- In addition, students who still have the obligation to deliver
the booklet paper should fill in the same line of the pencil
booklet with information on the examination supported (case, given
the appeal of oral verbalization, voting) in order to respect the
temporal progression actual exams in time and bring the booklet to
be signed by the prof. Caporale (booking himself in office hours,
sending an e mail to the prof.) no later than 30 days from the date
of the appeal.
Requests will not be considered outside the specified timeframe or
without even one of the required elements. The verbalizations are
possible only for the dates of the oral exam sessions advertised
through websites of faculty and degree course.
It is NOT expected that the teacher sends a message to students (or
to confirm the vote or to indicate the incompleteness of the
application). It is responsibility of the student to verify (within
10 days by the call) the correct verbalization on the website
Almaesami.
In the alerts section of the website of the teacher is available a
facsimile e mail to be sent.
The candidate may only invoke the grade obtained in the most recent
attempt to pass the exam.
