Learning outcomes

At the end of the couse students will have achieved the following objectives:
- knowledge of the main theories of knowledge and learning;
- knowledge of the Dewey's theory of the active teaching;
- knowledge of the concept of individual experience and social experience;
- knowledge of the main methodologies of play in teaching school in kindergarten and primary school;
- ability to identify relationship between the classification' s games and educational objectives to be included in educational programming;
- ability to manage group work  in classroom;
- ability to recognize a playful approach in teaching the discipline;
- ability to use teaching methodologies for active learning;
- ability to organize teaching strategies for group work, for educatonal playing, for mimicry;
- ability to realize operating models of pole playing in educational setting of Primary school.

Course contents

The themes of the course will include:

- theories of learning and teaching methods
- the active method
- the teaching laboratory
- the educational research
- the group work in the construction of knowledge
- the educational gaming
- communities of practice
- active teaching strategies
- role playing didatic

The content of the course will consider an in-depth analysis of methodologies and active learning applied to real situation and treated in group work.

The class will be scheduled in the second semester (Months: february, march and april 2018).

Teaching methods

Lessons and group work, power point.

The group work, connected with authentic situations, is functional to the management of the high number of students for the laboratory lack.

Assessment methods

The examination will be in written form. It is to answer three questions in an oper form, like short essay, on the topics covered by hte course. It will be appreciated the synthetic form and conceptual synthesis of the responses.
The answer to each question will receive a score from 1 to 10 for a total of 30 points.
Group work done during the coruse by students who attend will be recognized as part of the examination.

If rejected at the exam, it is possible to have a second chance.
