Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student should achieve the basic knowledge for a correct diagnostic and therapeutic approach to surgical disease in the acute settings. He she will achieve knowledges on the principal physiopathological changes of patients with acute surgical illnesses.

Course contents

Diagnosis and therapy of digestive hemorrhage.

Diagnostic and therapeutic approach to intestinal surgical obstructions.

Diagnosis and differential diagnosis of the acute abdomen and peritonitis.

Therapeutic approach to penetrated and blunt abdominal trauma.
