Learning outcomes
The students have to face the learning of the course contents,

visuality and theory of art.
Course contents
What is the role of the mechanical reproduction of works of art in
the development of art historical theory and methodology. How
engraving, print, photography, slide projection, etc. have
transformed the way in which art historians look at works of
art?
The course will try to answer these questions, and it will be
focused especially on the different ways in which the Lectures on
art have used visual instruments, from the end of 19th century to
nowadays.
