Learning outcomes

Upon completion of the module, students will acquire knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the skin, subcutaneous tissue, and skin appendages. They will be introduced to the pathophysiology and clinical aspects of major skin diseases, the main sexually transmitted diseases, and the management of skin wounds. Functional and instrumental semeiotics of the skin, clinical methodology, and pharmacological therapy in dermatology will be illustrated. Finally, students will acquire specific skills in the concept of skin failure and the principles of burn care and treatment.

Teaching methods

Theoretical lectures will be conducted in a multimedia-equipped classroom, primarily using PowerPoint slides. Students will be provided with electronic versions of the slides presented during the lectures.
