Learning outcomes

At the end of the course students learn how to focus on service business models and service innovation strategies applied to business models. The class analyse how successful companies have reinvented their business models sometimes challenging common wisdom about strategic service management. The course also highlights business strategies and architectures to capture the opportunities offered by the digital marketplace and the different applications of technology to support business choices.

Readings/Bibliography

Collection of academic and business articles. The list of readings will be made available to students during the first lesson.

Teaching methods

Traditional lectures, analysis of cases, of magazine and journal articles.

Assessment methods

Written exam, with a multiple choice section and an open question/exercise.

Group work finalized to prepare and present a business case

Exam mark can be refused.

Marks are defined as follows

• <18 insufficient
• 18-23 sufficient
• 24-27 good
• 28-30 very good
• 30 e lode excellent
