Course contents

The lab, in a Media Education perspective, intends, from a theoretical point of view, to introduce the main digital competence frameworks for the education of active and responsible citizens. Considering the new frontiers of Artificial Intelligence (AI), it identifies new perspectives of didactic professionalism for educators and educators, on the one hand, in the design of educational interventions and artefacts using AI as a tool for reviewing design artefacts, on the other hand, in the interaction with the chatbot and in the analysis of information generated by AI, and at the same time to appropriate a correct approach to the tool, respecting the ethical rules governing its use.
N.B.: The workshop has compulsory attendance. Only for serious and justified reasons will absences be permitted for a maximum of 6 hours (25% of the total). As a rule, you may not be absent from the first or last lesson of the workshop.

Teaching methods

The format of the meetings will be interactive and workshop-based. Individual and small group activities will be promoted.

Assessment methods

At the end of the lab, the evaluation will be carried out according to a suitability or unsuitability assessment.
To achieve suitability it will be necessary to
- actively participate in the proposed activities
- create individually and/or in groups the required artefacts, handing them in by the deadlines;
- complete monitoring tools (questionnaires) prepared by the lecturer with a training function, respecting the deadlines and the lecturer's instructions.
It is specified that each 3 CFU workshop comprises 24 hours of in-person teaching (8 hours per CFU) and 51 hours of individual study (each CFU is 25 hours in total). Therefore, it will not be sufficient to attend the workshop to obtain the grade, instead it will be necessary to do all the required exercises.
