Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student has acquired the basic knowledge on the medical evaluation of the major diseases of the Musculoskeletal system. The student is able to recognize the methods of diagnostic concerning these diseases, the main conservative and surgical treatment options, the principles of diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of the trauma related to the Musculoskeletal system

Course contents

1. Anatomy, Hystology, Embriology

2. Osteopathy and genotipic desease

3. Congenital deformity (spine, myogenic neck, hip dysplasia, clubfoot)

4. Growing Desease (scoliosis, Scheuermann, spondylolisis-listesis, epiphysiolisits, osteocondrosis, dismetric leg, varus-valgus knee, claw foot, flat foot)

5. Neuromuscular desease: perinatal pulsy, spastic pulsy, poliomielitis

6. Vascular support desease (osteonecrosis, algodystrofhy)

7. Arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, shoulder impingement, anchilopoietic spine, cervical and lumbar spine ernjation, anterior foot deformity)

8. Infective desease (osteomielitis, tubercolosis)

9. Endocrinal and metabolic desease (hyper paratiroid, rachitism, osteophorosis, Paget desease, gout

10.10.Tumor and pseudotumor lesion (classification, diagnosis, stage, therapy of bone tumors; metastic lesions)

11.11.Traumatic lesion (general principles, therapy, mid shaft fracture, femoral fracture, fracture and verterbral luxation, meniscal and ligaments knee lesion, rotator cuff lesion, shoulder dislocation)

12.12.General principles of hand surgery and upper limb
