Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to provide the most important concepts and notions in the Sociology of deviance and in Criminology to students in order to be able to analyze critically the criminal fenomena and events in contemporary societies and to understand the basic problems in victimzation processes as well.
Course contents
The course will provide and examine the most important approaches and theories in sociology of deviance and criminology ; in particular it will analyze some specific problems just like reforms' prisons inside the Italian context, the implementation of victims' support and assistence policies, the victim-offender mediation practices inside the restorative justice paradigm.
