Provided methods and tools to guarantee a safety environment in buildings yards considering the italian law.

Course contents

1. The planning and organization of the construction site in safety.
1.1 External and internal constraints.
1.2 Site lay-out.
2. European and national laws.
2.1 The consolidated text for safety (Legislative Decree 81/08).
2.2 Compulsory information and training.
2.3 The risk of illness and injury: identification, evaluation and case studies.

3. Roles and responsibilities of those involved in the management of construction sites in safety.
3.1 The client and the project manager.
3.2 The safety coordinator in the design and execution phase of the works.
3.3 The employer of the executing company, the head of the prevention service, the technical director of the works, the person in charge, the workers' representative.
3.4 The supervisory bodies.

4. Safety on construction and civil engineering sites.
4.1 Prevention and protection measures.
4.2 Demolitions and excavations.
4.3 Emergency management.
4.4 Interference risks.

5. Implementing tools for prevention and safety in temporary or mobile construction sites.
5.1 The safety and coordination plan.
5.2 The risk assessment document and the single interference risk assessment document.

Theoretical lessons and practical exercises in a real case study, proposed by the students, carried out individually or in a working group.

Assessment methods

Testo di origine 677 / 5000 Risultati della traduzione Design of a case study and oral exam. For access to the oral exam it is compulsory to deliver the project which will be assessed for completeness and compliance with the relevant laws and which will have obtained a minimum score of 18/30. The oral exam consists of an in-depth study with the teacher aimed at ascertaining the ability to use the methods and tools presented in the course and knowledge of the legislation on the management of temporary or mobile construction sites in safety. Passing the exam will be guaranteed to students who demonstrate mastery and operational ability in relation to the concepts illustrated in the teaching.
