Learning outcomes

Upon completion of the module, the student develops diagnostic reasoning skills, clinical reasoning, and develops methodological skills related to care planning. Applies acquired knowledge related to technical, interpersonal and educational skills. Develops therapeutic education projects. The activity is developed in preparation for the internship experience.

Course contents

Drainage management (drop, suction, sack, etc.)

Dressings 2 (surgical wound, VAC, etc)

Ostomy management (colon ileum, urostomy, etc)

Operative pathway* (anesthesia care, surgical washing, dressing, etc.)

*The "Operative Pathway" module includes the simulation activities within the operating block.

SPECIALTY AREA

Tracheostomy (management and endotracheal suctioning)

Immobilization (application of braces, limb fixation, bandages)

Vascular accesses 2 (PICC management, PORT.)

Pediatric (auxologic parameter detection, screening, sampling and specimen collection, etc.)

RELATIONAL LABORATORY 2

Bereavement and critical incident management.

Conflict management within the team.

Lectures, unless otherwise specified, will be held within the Graduate Course Laboratory.

Attendance is mandatory and documented with signature collection

Breakdown of students into small groups, simulation and explanation of the scientific rationale by the expert in the procedure (clinical tutor, experienced nurse, subject matter expert, etc.)

Performance of the technique by the student, under the supervision of the expert.
