Course contents

Legislation and safety regulations for cosmetics in the European Union. Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009. Cosmetovigilance and Rapex. 

Raw materials of cosmetics. International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients. Oily materials, surface active agents, humectants, thickening agents, antioxidants, sequestring agents, antimicrobial agents, color materials, fragrances.

Cosmetic systems:classification, development, preparation methods and stability testing. Monophasic systems. Biphasic systems. Innovative systems: patches, micro/nanoparticles, liposomes, phytosomes, niosomes.

Applied cosmetic: Cleansing, protection, functional dermocosmetics, specific body treatments, trichology, hand and nail treatments, foot treatments, make-up cosmetics, baby products, men's cosmetics.

Advice of the appropriate cosmetic product.
