Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the student knows the design process of medical devices applied in the cardiovascular field, starting from the conception, patenting, experimentation, clinical validation and regulatory aspects. He is able to describe the operating principles of cardiovascular devices, the design problems, the state of the art and future development prospects, always taking into consideration the problems of interaction with the human body and patient safety.

The exam includes an oral exam.

The exam aims to evaluate the student's theoretical knowledge. Analysis and synthesis skills, language properties and clarity of concepts and exposure are also evaluated.
