Learning outcomes

Knowledge and skills to be achieved:

At the end of the module, the student applies, in basic nursing care, the acquired knowledge related to technical, relational and educational skills. Develop methodological skills related to the planning of the project. The activity develops in relation to the internship path and theoretical content.

Course contents

Acquire the technical, relational and methodological skills provided by the Professional Profile of the Nurse and related to the theoretical content provided for the course year.

The specific objectives aim to develop:

- methodological skills in the application of the nursing discipline’s own method according to reference models used in the proposed experiences

- personal education approach skills/caregivers

- reflective and critical thinking skills linking theoretical content and clinical experience

- awareness of the scientific reasons behind the nursing act, including those of a technical professional nature

- competences in team work with a particular focus on comparison

- relational competence towards the person and the family

The aim is to develop a sensitivity and an attitude based on the values expressed by the Nurse’s Code of Ethics.

Regarding the LABORATORY of GESTURES, the proposed topics are:

- ECG

- Burns in adults and children, Vascular lesions

- Neonatal hygiene and care

- The operating room. Surgical dressings, drainage

- SNG insertion and enteral feeding

- Patient management with pinstripes/chin-ups

- Techniques of bandaging

- CVC management, infusion pumps and parenteral feeding

- Urostomy and duodenum-colostomies

The Laboratories are compulsory, a maximum absence is allowed on the designated laboratories.

The contents of the workshop gestures will be evaluated in terms of suitability as required by the Regulations of the Course of Study, together with the seminars scheduled for the same academic year
