Learning outcomes
Knowledge and skills to be achieved:
At the end of the training activities the student has knowledge that integrates and completes the contents of the courses on care/educational/organizational aspects of specific and/or particular interest to ensure the safety of care.
Course contents
The aim of the course is to deepen contents of particular interest and relevance for clinical practice and related to the theoretical contents foreseen for the course year.
With regard to SEMINARS, the proposed themes are:
- Prevention of Assistive Infections
- Standard precautions and additional precautions:
°Hand washing
°Proper use of gloves
°PPE
°Disinfection and sterilization
°Dressing and undressing in healthcare
- Good practice in hospital laundry and waste
- Nursing of pain treatment
Further in-depth contents include:
- Security training (FAD Unibo, 2 modules)
- Safety Training Specific Risks High Risk (Legislative Decree 81/08 residual part FAD course Module 3)
- Information manual for operators (independent reading by the student)
- Privacy and data processing
- Code of Conduct (held by the President of OPI Bologna)
- Conscious use of the smartphone

Assessment methods
The seminars are compulsory attendance of 75%.
The contents of the seminars will be evaluated in terms of suitability as required by the Regulations of the Course of Study, through a written test in multiple choice quiz format that will also contain the topics of Fundamental Care Laboratory I.
