Learning outcomes

At the end of the module the student has the ability to apply knowledge and understanding relating to geriatric and rheumatological pathologies susceptible to physio-kinesitherapy treatment, identifying the preventive and rehabilitative needs of the subject through the evaluation of clinical data.

Course contents

1- Project - rehabilitation program for elderly patients

2 - Immobilization syndrome in the elderly and delirium

3 - Osteoporosis: clinic and therapy

4 - Fractures of the pelvis and fractures of the proximal lower limb

5 - Complex fractures and external fixation

6 - Lower and upper limb amputation: prosthesis and rehabilitation treatment

7 - Rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis

8 - Algodystrophic syndrome and fibromyalgia syndrome

Teaching methods

Lectures (3 hours per lesson)

N.B. In consideration of the types of activities and teaching methods adopted, attendance of this training activity requires all students to carry out modules 1 and 2 in e-learning mode and participate in a third specific training module on safety and health. in places of study/internship. Information on the dates and methods of attendance of the third module will be communicated to students by the training centres

Assessment methods

3 multiple choice quizzes (check every 3 lectures) consisting of 30 questions with only one correct answer. One point will be awarded for each correct answer. The final grade will respect the average of the three writings.

The questionnaire aims to verify the student's knowledge of the topics proposed during the course of study.
