Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student must possess knowledge and skills that extend and strengthen the contents and the theoretical interpretative models of the nursing and midwifery sciences acquired in the first cycle in relation to the principles of general and social pedagogy.

Course contents

The course aims to enable the acquisition of skills on the following topics:

- the reports of treatment: analysis of problem areas and finding solutions through the conceptual devices of science education;

- interpersonal communication in care settings and relationships between colleagues, principal coordinates analysis and methodological aspects that enable effective communication;

- the helping relationship and in learning contexts;

- the dynamics in work groups - Methods for handling interpersonal conflicts.

- Education and care;
- The educational and care relationship;
- Communication: background, structure and dynamics;
- Conflicts: structure, dynamics, management.

All the teaching materials and further bibliographic insights will be available in the online section of the course (Virtual) and will form the basis for the preparation of the exam.

Teaching methods

The prevailing method is aimed at activating active teaching, through moments of practical experimentation.

The lectures will be combined with some practical exercises in the classroom and remotely, case analysis, group works that provide for the involvement and active participation of students.

Assessment methods

Formative evaluation: exercises, cases, group work.

Summative evaluation:
Written test exam (closed-ended questions).
A questionnaire will be adopted consisting of:
31 questions closed questions (correct answer: +1; wrong: -0).

The exam is passed if the tests of the remaining three modules are also sufficient.
