Learning outcomes

At the end of the teaching module the student knows the main theoretical frameworks and communication techniques useful in interpersonal relations, that is to say awareness of him/herself and of the others, assertiveness and emotional balance.

Course contents

Teaching will be focused on relational and emotional dynamics in interaction. The following topics will be addressed:

- Motivations and functions of relations

- Transactional Analysis

- Active listening, empathy and awareness

- Assertiveness and emotions

Teaching methods

Lectures, critical discussion of self-perception and self- evaluation tests, simulation exercises.

Assessment methods

The exam consists in a multiple choice test. Erasmus students and Italian as a second language speakers may take the exam in oral form.
