Learning outcomes
The course aims to impart to the student the knowledge relating to the tools and techniques to perform proper oral hygiene at home. In particular, the student is able to: - know and use the mechanical aids for plaque removal - know and use the aids for the chemical control of plaque - know and use the methods for topical fluoride prophylaxis - instruct the patient to apply the techniques best suited to his situation - communicate effectively with the patient to instruct and motivate him - evaluate the effectiveness of his professional intervention - recognize the damage deriving from the inappropriate use of aids.
Course contents
