Course contents
Through contributions in line with the current literature, and by analyzing practices, methods and tools in the environment of Orientation Psychology , participants will be provided with the necessary skills to plan guidance paths and to propose tools coherent with differentiated orientation needs, also belonging to the “weaker groups” of the population, both through individual and group devices, to which particular emphasis will be given also through exercises, case analysis, also related to national and regional legislation, paying specific attention to the skills that the professional in this field must possess.
***
Guiding means making citizens of all ages, at any moment of their life, capable of identifying their abilities, skills, interests; and capable of making informed decisions regarding education, training, employment.
It represents a global action that activates and facilitates the person in becoming aware of their career horizon, of the possibilities, of the occupational, social and economic reality in order to make choices that are aware, autonomous, effective and congruent with the context.
But what does it mean to guide people in difficulty, who have therefore lost some important references such as their own life plan, or who cannot rely on services, or who are barely reachable/reached by them, or who have been “expelled” (or never understood or accepted) from work contexts?
And how can an “atypical” career path be integrated, such as that of people with complex employability, who escape the “standard” criteria of job placement paths through actions that take into account both the current occupational reality and therefore the real possibilities, and the particularity of people who have the difficulty of integrating different and changing aspects of their existence, often characterized by scarcity of material, cultural, social resources that exclude individuals, families and groups?

Teaching methods
The following teaching methods will be adopted during the course: lectures, discussions, tasks assigned to students during the course and group exercises. In order to facilitate the acquirement of knowledge and skills, students will be invited to carry out team works and to elaborate and present papers focused on specific topics/study cases. These activities will be documented by each student in his/her Portfolio (this new tool will be described at the beginning of the course).
Active and participatory teaching, lectures, discussions, group exercises, taught class.
Exercises and simulations, also in compliance with the so-called Covid restrictions that will be indicated
Assessment methods
During each meeting, small groups of students will develop materials for reflection and detailed study on the topics that they have addressed. Learning is assessed by a final evaluation of these materials by the course professor: evaluation of the level of the involvement in the activities of the workshop.
The final score will not out of thirty; it will be a qualification ("workshop passed"/"workshop not passed").
