Learning outcomes

The student gets the fundamental principles of economic analysis of the cultural market, with particular attention to cinematographic, musical, artistic and televisual fields. S/he also aware of the legal position of some original works categories (with special reference to audiovisual and figurative art works) within the limits of the copyright law. S/he is also able to apply his/her knowledge to the problematic dynamics ruling the demand and offer of the culture and the mechanisms of cultural heritage funding.

3. Market models and management in cultural industries
4. The digital creative economy
5. Cities of culture, creative cities and cultural tourism
6. The creative industries: economics of music, film and broadcasting, videogame

Teaching methods

Room lessons, working groups.

Assessment methods

1. written test – 60 mins, 10 multiple choice questions and 2 open questions (with at least 5 correct answers, you can attend the oral test).
2. oral test with a project work or case study presented by the student (s). The project work is a business plan of a cultural project or event, more information will be given in the next lessons.

The vote, out of thirty, will be the result of the two tests.
