Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, students are expected to know the main clinical issues regarding the most common diseases of surgical interest, being able to recognize them in the single patient. Students will be able to correlate, in the context of the medicine on the territory, specific symptoms to the above diseases, of whom a correct diagnostic approach will be learnt.
In addition, students will learn the terminology of main surgical procedures and basic principles of surgical techniques in order to understand the functional consequences determined by such procedures.
Finally, students will achieve a basic knowledge of sequelae caused by the most common surgical procedures, as well as methodologies of follow-up, especially in the field of surgical oncology.

Surgical anatomy of the liver
Benign and malignant (primary and secondary) liver tumor
Biliary tumors
Gallbladder lithiasis and lithiasis of choledocus (and its complications)
Neuroendpcrine tumors
the surgical disease of small bowel
