Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the student has the essential notions for a general framework of the physiology of the blood and lymphatic tissue, for the study methods of the blood and lymphatic organs with specific reference to the techniques used; for a general overview of the pathologies of the blood and lymphatic system underlining the importance of the technical and biotechnological approach in the formulation of the patient's diagnosis and prognosis.

Teaching methods

Interactive face lessons with discussion of the histological slides.

Each neoplastic pathology will be treated through normal histology, epidemiological findings, precancerous lesions, and carcinomas.

Each inflammatory disease will be faced through normal histology, epidemiological findings, etiologycal mechanisms, description of histological alterations typical of the disease

Assessment methods

Written exam with multiple choice questions (MCQs).

The exam will consist of 30 MCQs. Each correct answer will be evaluated as +1; each wrong or not given answer will account as zero.

Time will be 30 minutes to complete the exam

Maximun mark will be 30 cum laude

Minimal score to pass the exam will be 18/30
