Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student will be able to: - describe the morphological aspects of the process of ageing; - describe the anatomo-functional aspects of the process of ageing.

Course contents

The Eukaryotic cell: structure and organization. Cellular organelles and their function. Aged morphological changes. Cell nucleus and cell division: mitosis and meiosis

- Tissues, organs and apparatus: structure and organization. Anatomical modifications linked to aging in tegumentary, muscular, nervous, endocrine, reproductive, cardiovascular, lymphatic, immune, respiratory, digestive and urinary systems.

Teaching methods

Theoretical lessons in classroom or on line , using power point presentations.
