72390 - Multimedia and Audiovisual Laboratory (1) (LM) (M-Z)

Academic Year 2020/2021

  • Teaching Mode: Traditional lectures
  • Campus: Bologna
  • Corso: Second cycle degree programme (LM) in Cinema, Television and Multimedia Production (cod. 0966)

Learning outcomes

At the end of the workshop, students acquire fundamentals related to some specific aspects of multimedia languages through a program of guided activities.

Course contents

The workshop can be attended by 40 students at most. To register it is necessary to:

  • send an email to marta.rocchi5@unibo.it at least one week before the start of the workshop;
  • receive a confirmation email from the teacher.

In case of a full booked workshop, students are invited to contact the Coordinator or the HelpDesk for information on how to fulfill this educational obligation.

The lab aims to give a set of theoretical, practical and technical tools for the analysis of audiovisual and textual products. Students will carry out an audiovisual and textual data analysis project.

Readings/Bibliography

Students will have to study a set of readings available on the course teaching platform. Although the course is delivered in Italian, some readings may be in English.

Teaching methods

Due to the restrictions imposed by the current health emergency, teaching will be carried out with blended methods: the professor will always be in the designated classroom, students will alternate in attendance according to a schedule of shifts being defined (more detailed information on the shifts and how to access the face-to-face lesson will be provided later). It will always be possible to connect remotely and follow live lessons via the Teams platform.

The workshop will be divided into moments of theoretical study, moments of collective/groups work and moments of individual work.

WARNING: Given the fluidity of the emergency situation that we are experiencing and since this program is published in December 2020 it is possible that the way in which the teaching will be provided will change in the coming months. In this case, timely communication will be given through an update of this program, as well as through appropriate notices published on the usual institutional channels, namely: notices published on the teacher's page (https://www.unibo.it/sitoweb/veronica.innocenti ), on the website of the CITEM Degree Course (https://corsi.unibo.it/magistrale/Cinema ) and on the official FB page of the CITEM Degree Course (https://www.facebook.com/Unibo.Citem/ ) which all students are invited to consult periodically.

Assessment methods

The assessment of the individual student will include:

  • individual contribution to the project developed during the workshop;
  • constant and active participation during workshop hours
  • skills acquired.
