Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the student knows the IT and information tools essential for searching the web, selecting and processing bibliographic, documentary, statistical, budgetary and market data in a business-economic and professional work group operating in companies, in financial support, administrations and professions. In particular, the student is able to: - search the Internet for bibliographies, documents and data, select them, locate them and acquire them, - process them for the preparation of professional documents shared by the working group, - set up simple accounting schemes on an electronic sheet, - calculate indicators and represent them graphically, perform simple simulations of alternatives and present the results and the strategies that derive from them at a forum, - evaluate the different options for the automation of the company for which it operates.

Teaching methods

Frontal lessons on the theoretical part. Presentations of the applications to be known. Free and guided exercises in the computer lab.

Attendance is recommended as it is a course based on the practical use of spreadsheets and other individual productivity software.

Assessment methods

The exam consists of a proficiency test that will take place in a computer lab in a single session. With the eligibility test, no grades are awarded, but only the qualification of "eligible". The suitability test consists of:

─ Written test with multiple choice questions and exercises to be performed on the calculation spreadsheets. The test aims to ascertain the possession of the acquired knowledge. The time for the test is forty minutes. The written test will be passed by answering exactly 75% of the questions and carrying out the exercises correctly.
