Learning outcomes

By the end of the course the Student will be able to plan sample surveys with basic sampling designs.

Course contents

Inference in finite and infinite population sampling . Design based inference. Simple random sampling with and without replacement. Unequal probability sampling. Horvitz Thompson estimators. Stratified random sampling. Cluster sampling. The estimation of sample size. Quotient estimators.
