Learning outcomes

The student at the end of the course of social security law is able to understand the main legal institutions that relate to the welfare state, both with reference to social security that to social assistance, as well as to orient themselves in the relevant legislation.

Course contents

The idea of social security in the Italian Constitution and in the European Union Law

The progressive realization of a social security system in ordinary legislation

The social security system: subjects, legal relationship, events protected, taxable base, contributions

Pensions and Social insurance for invalidity

Industrial accidents and occupation diseases

The social security system for the unemployed

Health care

Family allowances

Students who have attended the course can prepare the exam on the materials presented during the lectures that are available in http://campus.unibo.it/. The program of the lectures is common to both curricula, but at the end of the course will treat a specific topic for each curriculum.

The exam consists of an oral interview designed to assess the knowledge acquired by the student and his ability to critical reconstruction of the matter.
