Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the students will know the theoretical concepts of computer science, the principles of the illustred software applications and the technical lexicon of the discipline.
Course contents
The course goal is to make the student able to use computer tools,
reasoning on theoretical and methodological aspects of information
science. The course focuses on new frontiers of technology: the
treatment of electronic documents, Internet and the Web,
HTML5.
Will be studied in detail:
- Internet, the WWW and their services: the structure of the Internet, protocols, finding information on the WWW and legal profiles.
- The processing of electronic documents: constituent elements, non-textual documents, fonts and web design
- Fundamentals of multimedia processing: basic concepts (audio, images and video) streaming media, and distribution of multimedia files on the Internet; editing.
- Web 2.0 and recent transformations of the World Wide Web: social phenomenon, technological concepts, applications and new frontiers of digital textuality.
- HTML5: Tag dopo Tag, ecco l'HTML 5.
- HTML5: Exercises.
Moodle is a website in which are published all teaching materials required for the course. There is, therefore, no need to get a textbook.
First you have to register on the Moodle platform using the "Key" that you can find between the teaching materials Ams Campus on file InformaticaDiBase_2015_2016.pdf. You should read carefully the presentation file of the Moodle platform.
Registration is mandatory only the FIRST time you enter on Moodle.
To go on with the consultation of the materials must be used, for all subsequent access to the registration procedure, the institutional credentials (firstname.lastname@studio.unibo.it and the associated password).
Readings/Bibliography
The training materials are fully available on the
Moodle platform (https://elearning-cds.unibo.it/)
in the form of teaching modules, include quiz and HTML5
exercises.
Other teaching materials, introductory slides and
exercises, will be made available on AMS Campus.
Teaching methods
The method used is based on the ability of learning possible
through access to the platform on the Web,
Moodle, specifically designed for the acquisition of computer
skills.
The lessons in presence (room) will introduce weekly
each module, which should then be conducted through individual work
on the Moodle platform.

Teaching tools
The course will be provided in a blended-learning way:
lessons in presence (room) and the rest managed individually
under the Moodle platform (https://elearning-cds.unibo.it/).
The teacher, who will use this platform for teaching, will work
closely with a tutor. Forum and
Message, on the platform, could be used for discussing
collectively on difficulties.
You can also communicate directly with the teacher or tutor via
e-mail.
