26365 - AFPG - Lab-based Course of Parametric Aided Design

Academic Year 2011/2012

  • Docente: Andrea Prati
  • Credits: 2
  • Language: Italian
  • Teaching Mode: Traditional lectures
  • Campus: Cesena
  • Corso: Single cycle degree programme (LMCU) in Architecture (cod. 0881)

Course contents

The course centers on learning the 2012 Nemetschek Allplan Software (supplied in http://www.allplan-campus.com/it   student version to the site), Software BIM (building information modeling). The main objective of the course is learning the three-dimensional representation of all architectural element, the realization of the 3D model and the extrapolation of the 2D elements (plans, elevations, sections, axonometric, perspective with relative shadows) from the model itself, and the 'extrapolation of the calculation lists and export the best-known graphic formats (PDF, DWG, etc. ..).

The course will be done through the integration of teoric and frontal communications, always accompanied by the use of the computer to facilitate learning, and practical sessions in which to exploit the operating procedures learned.

general content

-       Essential contents of BIM and software interface

-       Data management and project in Allplan

-       Two-dimensional elements, texts and dimensioning, hatches, fills and pixel areas (inserting images and textures)

Content -Creation of architecture of the building model

-       Theory of levels, floors, and roof level - Automatic and Manual Structure Work.

-       Solid modeling in Allplan

-       Architectural Modeling through inclusion of elements such as:
- Columns, beams, walls, floors, stairs, roofs, beams Module for creating louvers, railings and parapets , etc. ..

-       Customization of architectural elements and creation of customized libraries and assistants

Extrapolation of two-dimensional drawings, and creating print tables

-       Extrapolation of lists and metric data from the 3D model and their customization.

-       Extrapolation of 2D elements (plans, elevations, sections, isometric views and perspectives split) to generate two-dimensional technical drawings. Management hierarchy objects.

-       Shading model with study in function of the sun position. Sun exposure behavior of the building in the several months of the year.

-       Creation of Print Tables with management of transparency and overlap.

Elaborations on the model and data exchange with other software

-       Export 3D models to other formats including PDF and DWG, saving print tables in PDF format.

-       Export model in 3D PDF

-       Export 3D model in other rendering programs (3DS - Cinema 4D, etc. ..)
Application of materials and textures to the model, transparencies and reflections.

-       Basics of rendering and animation within Allplan
