Learning outcomes

The student must know the situation of the major poultry production (broilers, laying hens and turkeys) and the rabbit production; the student must acquire knowledge concerning the phases of  livestock as well as key aspects of nutrition and feeding of these species.

Importance and situation of poultry production.

Breeds and hybrids of poultry

Hatching

Egg production (management of pullet and  laying hens)

Production of poultry for slaughter

Breeds and hybrids of rabbit

Management of pregnant and lactating does.
