Learning outcomes
The course aims to provide a broad grounding in the archaeology of
Egypt enabling students to develop critical skills to study the
Egyptian civilization drawing upon historical and archaeological
evidence.
By the end of the course students will gain a comprehensive overview of the history and archaeology of ancient Egypt focusing on artistic and religious evidence as well as the interactions between civilizations in the Nile Valley and other cultures of the Mediterranean East between the Pharaonic period and the Hellenistic one.
