Learning outcomes

The student acquires the knowledge of the techniques and methods of investigation of the anatomical districts in conventional radiology, radiation protection in the pediatric field.

Course contents

Peculiarities of pediatric imaging diagnostics.

Radio-Protection in the pediatric age.

The role of the TSRM.

Radiographic anatomy of the osteo-articular apparatus.

Pediatric radiographic anatomy of the neck, thorax, abdomen and pelvis.

Oral and maxillofacial pediatric radiographic anatomy.

Pediatric radiographic anatomy by contrast examinations:

  • digestive system (Rx digestive tract, barium enema)
  • urinary system (cystography, urography)

Teaching methods

Frontal lessons with PTT slides.

Assessment methods

Verification takes place through a written exam, aimed at ascertaining the knowledge acquired.

The test is divided into 30 multiple choice questions, relating to the different topics of the program.

The grade reported in the single teaching module is mediated (weighted average by number of ECTS) with the partial grades obtained in the other modules of the integrated course.

The outcome of the single module test will be valid only for the academic year of the test itself.
