76119 - CONOSCENZE DI NATURA LINGUISTICO-COMUNICATIVA, LOGICO-INDUTTIVA E DEDUTTIVA (OFA)

Course contents

The course will be developed in dialogic and frontal lessons, laboratory activities, individual and group exercises, self / evaluation reflections on oral and written communication at the academic level. The contents discussed in the lesson concern the use of tools and strategies for reading and writing; the relationship between communication contexts and discursive models; understanding, analysis and recognition of different types of text; the activities of synthesis and paraphrase of pieces of different nature; the drafting, revision and evaluation of written and oral texts. In particular, it will be about: practicing the use of different systems and tools for reading and writing (lexical systems, types of dictionary, etc.); recognizing and knowing how to define the main text types and genres (expositive and argumentative texts, interpretative and evaluative texts, essay and disciplinary texts, journalistic and literary texts, schematic and graphic texts); to understand a text at different levels (literal, inferential, interpretative, analytical and evaluative comprehension); analyze (patterns, expectations, etc.) and recognize different types of text; identify differences in register (level of expression), variety and linguistic styles; synthesize and reformulate pieces of different nature; write and review short texts (presentations, reviews, reports, ladders, abstracts, etc.); identify and solve the main problems related to written and oral communication; discuss and revise the main elements of grammar used for academic communication; knowing how to determine successions and groupings (of words, sentences, paragraphs, etc.) in logical sets; develop the ability to self / evaluate the work done thanks to the classroom and peer comparison.

Assessment methods

The final verification is written and will verify the mastery of microlinguistic aspects (grammar of complex structures, vocabulary) and macrolinguistic (type, coherence and textual cohesion), comprehension abilities, textual analysis and synthesis as well as those related to the argumentation on different themes. The appeals are held like all the other exams in the regular exam sessions. The lists close seven days before the appeal date, as for all written exams.
