Learning outcomes

The course gives students an understanding of current issues regarding a critical managerial activity: project management.

The aim of the course is to help participants develop skills that allow them to:

-understand what you mean by Project Management and describe the skills required for a definition, planning and project management.

-understand means-ends relationships means-ends and articulate a hierarchy of objectives.

-develop a Work breakdown structure (WBS) and accurately identify tasks and responsibilities.

-allocating resources to individual products and to conduct a cost analysis. -

implement a streamlined approach to defining, designing and implementing a project.

-nudge the importance of different techniques of the method of critical path (Critical Path Method-CPM) and when they should be employed.

-understand the importance of leadership and team building for the achievement of corporate objectives.

Course contents

- The culture of the project (definitions, lifecycle, contexts, areas of PM)

- Project Management tools (strategies, plans, tools and settings)

- Project Team (choice and team management, leadership, motivation and delegation)

- Project economic management (costing and project budget, project control, project indicators)
