Learning outcomes
The student acquires knowledge in the field of Event Communication and Promotion (in particular connected to the Performing Arts), writing as a function of information and disclosure, the relationship with media and critics, the promotion to the public. Also acquires specific skills related to the press office, public relations, publishing and media addressed to the theater.
Course contents
The course aims to provide students with the basic skills in the promotion of cultural events, particularly in the performing arts area, from building a communication plan - according to a look that starts from the crisis of theatrical criticism to widespread criticism, the implementation of a virtual community, to the methods of viral marketing - a deep knowledge of the traditional and the new tools and techniques, with particular attention to the web promotion and social media management (webzines, forums, blogs, geolocation, clue teaser etc.) according to the storytelling strategy.

Teaching methods
During the lectures will be shown PowerPoint presentations, that will present in a specific way the individual theoretical and methodological approaches, supported by concrete examples of the application of these strategies, as well as seminars on specific case studies. It also provided a wide and varied webography that allows Italian and foreign students to become autonomous in the continuous update on the dynamics of the promotion and information of culture, especially of the performing arts.
Assessment methods
Oral examination, in italian language.
Students who attend at least 80% of the lectures can replace two of the three volumes with a project work - illustrated during the lectures - to be delivered a week earlier than the exam.
