- Corso: Second cycle degree programme (LM) in Mechanical Engineering (cod. 8771)
Learning outcomes
Student will learn how to use commercial computer codes of Finite Element to solve structural problems both static and dynamic.
Course contents
The course introduces the student to the finite element simulations, from the knowledge of the concepts and the basic concepts of structural analysis. After an introduction that includes calls of the matrix calculation and merely analysis and linear elastic, describes the major finite element indicating the selection criteria and critically analyzing the numerical techniques and strategies for solutions to critical assessment of the results. The numerical exercises provided and conduct independently of finite element analysis of a mechanical element will allow the student to develop the skills of critical evaluation necessary for a profitable use of this numerical technique.
