Learning outcomes

This activity is reserved only for the students of the Master Mundus WOP- P Programme.

At the end of the master programme, the student, as a future professional, needs to be able to integrate research and practice. The development of his/her professional competencies will be in a large part related to such ability to integrate research and practice. By this we refer to:

- be able to diagnose the research dimensions of some problems posed by persons, groups and organizations in different work settings;

- deal with practical problems in relation to the criteria of the development of scientific knowledge (hypothesis, test, empirical evidence, …)

- integrate theoretical and methodological research results all along the diagnosis and the solution of practical problems

- develop a constant interest for the progress of research in the field of WOP-P.

By consequence, this activity is not a traditional course but a “reflection space” to facilitate the task to integrate theory and practice.

As a conclusion of the activity the student has to write his/her Professional Report.

Course contents

The Professional report at the end of the master programme will demonstrate the effort of the student to realize the integration between scientific research methods and professional practices. The stage (as supervised practice) is designed for a professional context, in order to give rise to the competencies oriented to practice as an independent psychologist at the end of this process. Therefore the content of the professional report starts from the stage experience but has to be open to all professional and academic inputs received by the student.

The professional report must include analysys and description of:

- a selection of research papers related to the practical problems to be solved by the student.

- the methodology of intervention used on the field, compared to the requirements of a scientific-based approach.

- a list of competencies acquired at the end of the stage, using the Europsy model for psychologists as a standard and a frame of reference
