Learning outcomes

At the end of the laboratory sessions the student will be able to write a successful CV and will have a methodology to prepare itself for a job interview.

Course contents

The laboratory activities will try to identify the current dynamics of the new 'world of the work', starting by its history and development they will analyze the present situation and the most important issues aiming to understand and deep different prospects of reading. At the same time, the teaching focuses on the situation of a student who is shortly before finishing his studies (anamnesis, status questions, careers guidance, job search, presentation tools: cv and cover letter, communication of himself, signs - communication of the others - interactions). Finally, laboratory will provide the student the critical capacity needed to face the possible troubles of transition periods, having self-awareness and remaining balanced.

Teaching methods

The 'work matter' is in a crossroad of various disciplines therefore the teaching method will be mainly multidisciplinary, comparative and above all interactive.

Assessment methods

A final oral exam is required. The student will have to demonstrate the critical knowledge of the concepts and, above all, to show how he/she started to involve himself. The student will exhibit: - CV - Cover Letter - Personal/Professional Project. For not attendant students: they have to add two readings (in recommended list).

Teaching tools

The teaching tools include various didactical materials: multimedia (audio/video), critical essays, literature of different disciplines, team working, assessment, job interviews, etc.
