Course contents
The course provides a detailed introduction to the masterpiece of the Italian Renaissance epic, Ariosto's Orlando Furioso (its relations with the previous patterns; with the court of Ferrara and conteporary political history; the idea of human madness...) as well as an analysis of the three different editions of the text (1516, 1521, 1532).
