Skills in the design of energy efficient wireless sensor networks
using low complexity wireless nodes.
Course contents
Introduction to wireless sensor networks and relative
applications with emphasis to environmental monitoring.
Main requirements for the design of a wireless sensor network.
Short-range communication techniques - connectivity models - energy
efficient routing and synchronization protocols. Distributed
detection and estimation of physical entities. Localization
techniques. Case study examples.
