- Corso: Second cycle degree programme (LM) in Physics (cod. 8025)
Learning outcomes
Aim of the course is to provide the necessary competences for designing, carrying out and discussing physics lab activities and for designing educational paths in physics at secondary school level.
Course contents
Design and implementation of lab activities for physics learning,
discussion of experimental results, comments on the relevance of
the activities from a conceptual and educational point of
view.
Lab activities are carried out both with traditional instruments
and new technologies in order to compare their educational
potential.
Discussion of the role of lab activities in physics education,
particularly in designing teaching paths in physics, is based on
the analysis of the experiments carried out.

Teaching methods
Lab experiments are set up, carried out and discussed both from the experimental and the educational points of view. Teaching paths are designed and discussed.
Assessment methods
The oral examination will consist of a discussion of a tecahing
proposal based on one ore more experiments among those performed
during the course.
Teaching tools
Sessions are held in the physics education laboratory. Besides experimental apparatuses, also overhead projector, videoprojector, PC and graphic calculators interfaced to data acquisition systems are used.
